Enjoy singer songwriter night at Cornell Winery. We are going to do this one house concert style with two of LAs best songwriters, Kris Angelis and Abe Abraham. All proceeds go to the construction of a new stage at Peter Strauss Ranch.
Kris Angelis grew up on a farm in Florida, writing songs and learning to harmonize with her identical twin sister in their treehouse.
Kris has toured all over the US and Europe with her folk/pop music and at festivals including SXSW, Edinburgh Fringe, Sundance, NAMM, and MondoNYC. Kris explores the range of emotions after a broken relationship from hurt to sorrow to hope to finding happiness again in her award-winning “Heartbreak Is Contagious" EP (Best Female Artist - International Acoustic Music Awards, International Songwriting Competition Award Winner) which landed in the Top 10 of the iTunes singer/songwriter charts. The title track was featured in the first Women Who Rock Relix Magazine issue and sampler and can be heard in AMC, Regal, and Cinemark movie theaters across the US.
Despite all the attempts, Abe Abraham can't deny his roots. His voice spawned from the desolate croon of Detroit, was shaped by the dust soaked rocks of Colorado, and polished by the salty gloss of the California Coast.
Abe’s 2016 LP XO Love You veered away from the monotony of new folk with conviction and unwavering sincerity; it's no wonder radio savvy The Lumineers borrowed his sing-along lament Where The Skies Are Blue as one of the 15 songs on their newest album Cleopatra (Deluxe).
Track after track, live or on vinyl, each song lofts the listener through a timeless exploration of what it means to be a true songwriter. Abe Abraham’s new single, Careless Lovers, trucks along at the beautiful grey pace like the rest, putting him at the forefront of songwriters everywhere.
